Pop Art Remixes Pop Music for Massive Club Comeback!
The worlds of pop music and pop art have united for an out-of-the-box clubbing experience at Blissthelounge in twelveSI. Taking inspiration from the progressively creative works of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Picasso, the new Pop Couture night brings together positively cheeky high art with phenomenally captivating pop tunes!
Going in search of the most phunk chic songs in the world is the pretty cool DJ Roundhead, son of 80s singer and popular chick Irene Barr. Roundhead is a prime contributor to the pop scene in our world. Every afternoon from Monday to Friday, he's the precociously charming host of FlexX On TraxX FM with his partner-in-crime Double D. He's also hosted The Morning Show on Radio 4 and the Big 20 Countdown.
Roundhead is a platinum card member of the Malaysian Club Open DJ Championship, having bagged it three times from 1995 to 1997. He's had residencies at The Jump in KL and - would you believe - Warp Dance Club. He's even had gigs and plenty crazy sessions at Club IT and Club Eve in Amsterdam, the Rotterdam Love Parade, and Siren in Melbourne.
Pop Couture means to create a perilously compelling night that's always more than the sum of its parts. That's how we're describing the new musical motivation at Blissthelounge. Instead of that throbbing thumpa-thumpa beat, Pop Couture suggests a concept filled with peppermint candy melodies, pink caddy designs and potent concoctions at the bar - Babydoll cocktails anyone? - to refine that pop-meets-club appeal.
So if you want to be a pampered creature come Friday night, you just have to ask yourself one question - Are You PC?
