Do your bit for Cancer

The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) is getting ready to organise some fun events, so we'd appreciate it if you would holler to your e-mail group about it. It would be great to see a great number of people turning up and supporting this great cause! 7th Sep, Tuesday Charity Musical Performance by 'Pluck!' an European trio of comedians playing musical instruments. Opening act by Deja Moss. Tickets RM100 and RM150 14th-19th Sep , Tuesday - Sunday The Yellow Week, Bangsar Shopping Centre. Expo & fun activities about cancer. Get your Yellow Ribbons and Balloons and support the cause. The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) is having a 6 day long awareness program on cancer at Bangsar Shopping Centre with a host of activities which include the highlights below. - Cancer clinics- advice by doctors on cancer related issues- daily at 1 pm and at 6.30 - Dance show and workshops- daily dance shows and dance workshops including belly dancing and the ever popular salsa- at 3 pm and 8 pm daily. - Art for sale and have your portrait drawn or make your own prints- great idea for the kids. - Buy pottery specially made for NCSM’s yellow week. - Excellent children’s books including NCSM’s CHEMOPHANT- a book on the effects of chemotherapy. - Hand painted decorative items( from the 17th-Friday) - Information on cancer and other surrounding issues. - Speak to cancer survivors. - Cancer survivors fashion show on Saturday the 18th at 4 PM – A MUST see. - Singers in the evening at 7.45 pm on special days. So come one and come all to BSC- Where it is all happening. 19th Sep, Sunday Yellow Balloon Race, KLCC, 3pm. Presale of yellow balloons @ BSC, Pyramid, Great Eastern Mall. RM10 each. Balloon found furthest from KLCC wins an Air Asia sponsored holiday for 2! 24th Sep , Friday Wear Yellow Day: corporations, schools & organisation to wear yellow or a NCSM yellow ribbon (RM2) to commemorate victims of cancer and to motivate individuals with cancer and their families. Bangsar Goes Yellow: A mardi-grass like street party (8pm-midnight) 'Celebration of Life'.
