Coliseum Cafe - Longest Operating Western Colonial -Themed Restaurant

The Coliseum Café Kuala Lumpur has clinched the Malaysia Book of Records award for the ‘Longest Operating Western Colonial-Themed Restaurant’, having been in business since 1921.

Coliseum Café has been operating in the same premises at 98-100, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman for the past 92 years. During the British Colonial rule of then Malaya, the restaurant and its 10-room hotel were popular amongst the British Government servants, army personnel, tin-miners, planters and their families, besides travelers passing through Kuala Lumpur.

Kids in Charge! To Rule Thistle Port Dickson Resort

Search for 10 Children to form Advisory Board

Recognizing that children are an integral part of the mix for an unforgettable family holiday, the Thistle Port Dickson Resort has launched a search for a Kids in Charge! Advisory Board where the ten members chosen will decide what fun and exciting activities should be implemented at the resort, just for kids.

The ten Board Members will receive four 3D/2N stays at the Thistle Port Dickson Resort for a family of four, comprising accommodation and meals, as part of their prize. However, only one Board Member with the most creative idea and overall best performance will walk away with the ultimate prize - a 6D/5N stay at Thistle London for a family of four with return flights courtesy of SriLankan Airlines!

The nationwide search is open to all children aged 7 to 12 years old residing in West and East Malaysia, including children of expatriates. Kids interested in participating just need to get their parents/guardian to download the entry form from Thistle’s website (www.thistle.com/portdickson), answer three questions and obtain the consent of their parents/guardians to participate by way of their signature on the form.
