One-day Workshop on Income Tax- Self Assessment at HELP
The Malaysian Income Tax system will be totally transformed with effect 2004 from the current formal assessment system where the Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (IRB) determines the income tax payer by an individul taxpayer has to interpret tax laws and determine his or her own tax liability and subsequently file with the IRB an accurate income tax return form (Form B) together with a payment instrument for the blance of tax payable by them, if any.
In view of the shift towards self assessment for individuals beginning from the year 2004, it has become increasingly important that all tax payers become aware of not just their rights and responsibilities but more importantly of fundamentals and basic principals of the Malaysian income tax legislation.
