Johan Nasir or “JD” as he is affectionately known, is the main man of the advertising group Ascension Media Communications and Cradle Investment Programme, a former DJ and now self-confessed metro entrepreneur, tech geek and senior investment consultant as well as being quite the man around town and .... JD has the magical ability to be at a few places at the same time and yet to be seen without his trusty Nokia 9500 Communicator and laptop, working or partying even when he’s fast asleep. Arvind Pasricha, the publisher, is still the driving force behind the magazine. His degree in fine arts notwithstanding, his mind is a hurricane of ideas, always brimming with new plots and plans and twists to bring you the best we can offer. Dave Avran is a twisted, wicked, sarcastic, single, dirty old man who has 24 years experience in the hospitality, entertainment and publishing industries. He’s been involved in the management of just about every club in the Klang Valley and loves to people watch. This gives him a unique insiders’ perspective and the seeming ability to write knowledgably about his pet subjects. Or so he’s been telling us. Stephan Vergara is a lecturer by day and smoovepinch’s Penang head honcho by night. He bravely prowls the island’s alleyways and backstreets in search of the best hawker food to bring to your salivating taste buds. Of course, he also checks out the latest nightspots for…err…spots. His shoot from the hip take no prisoners writing style has won him many regular followers. Mike D, a well-known name and figure in the news and clubbing circles, contributes in his own subblog. He too has a large following and his fans will be glad to know that they can now interact with Mike directly. Abdul Ketot is back! This dynamite and very popular writer with the imagination of Gene Roddenberry on steroids is back to write on the cinema and related subjects. Please put your tray in the upright position and buckle your seatbelts, Captain Ketot is preparing for launch. Our very own Miss Inquisitive Kelvina is also back to poke her nose where it doesn’t belong and report the deliciously scandalous results in detail to you. Her innocent looking demeanor and girl-next-door looks gets her into the tightest nooks and crannies much to your delight. Sha and Ravin, two very naughty party girls send us content from Singapore. Some of their pictures are too explicit to print, especially with our heart condition.
