Malaysian Trekkies can now live out their
fantasies at the National Science Centre's latest exhibition of epic
sci-fi proportions. Fresh from its successful run in Vancouver, Star
Trek: The Exhibition makes it way to KL as part of the first leg of its
Asian tour. The exhibition features an interactive, museum-style
experience of what's said to be the largest collection of authentic
'Star Trek' artefacts on public display.
Sets, show costumes, props and
other priceless museum pieces from all five of the 'Star Trek' TV
series and 11 feature films – including the 2009 JJ Abrams reboot – will
be on display. Other attractions include the opportunity to sit in
Captain Kirk's iconic chair, as well as a seven-metre replica of the USS
Enterprise and Star Trek transporter among many others.
