A man has died in his mansion, succumbing to multiple injuries on various parts of his body in Canning Garden Ipoh today.

The PDRM have confirmed the death, which happened around 5pm today when the man, Busines Tycoon and Ipoh Socialite Datuk Jackson Mo was believed to have been resting in his study at home before being brutally attacked by what is believed to be a planned attack by a few different suspects.

"Homicide squad detectives from the Ipoh IPD are investigating the multiple injuries sustained by Datuk Jackson in this gruesome murder and will hopefully get to the bottom of the case as soon as possible" a PDRM spokesman said.

Assistant Superintendent of Police and Chief Investigating Officer Hamzah Mat Noor said police received a call about two men trying to break into number 52 Canning Garden around 4.30 pm.

At the same time, another call was made to the PDRM from somebody who claimed to be inside the mansion that was being broken into, saying that two men were after him.

When police arrived, they found one man hiding in a closet, another man holding a knife and a woman inside a box.

ASP Hamzah said one man tried to escape and struggled with police before being arrested. The PDRM were also shocked to recover 3 KG's of marijuana and 400 grams of unprocessed heroin from this suspect. Upon further investigation the PDRM also discovered 4 'parangs' and 2 unused molotov cocktails in a backpack carried by the suspect.

A witness who refused to be named then saw another man climbing from the balcony of the mansion. That man fell, narrowly missing four police officers who had just arrived at the scene.

‘‘We don’t know whether these parties are known to each other,’’ ASP Hamzah said.

‘‘So it’s too early at this stage to give a full briefing.’’

Police who were at the scene at the time have not yet been interviewed. The PDRM have also apprehended the following suspects to aid with the investigation:

Anne James, Davina Goh, Nabihan Yaacob, JD Menon, Terence Conrad and Jon Chew

The mansion was cordoned off this evening and the general public are urged to come forward and help with this investigation.
