Discolicious CNY Invitation at Heritage Mansion

Discolicious is a concept of music being timeless. It is the story of evolution in the sound of Disco that began in the 70’s and constantly changing through the time in its current form of Disco House, drawing influence from the past. From the signature boogie tunes made popular by Salsoul Records, (a blend of Salsa and Soul), the fashion and lifestyle made infamous by clubs like Studio54 in New York and hit movies like Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive and Xanadu, the disco movement ruled the airwaves and was a global phenomenon.

House music pioneers today were all in some way educated and continue the musical journey through labels like Hed Kandi, Strictly Rhythm, Twisted and Defected. Innovative DJ Producers like Phats & Smalls, Dimitri from Paris, Jamiroqui and Bob Sinclar pushed the scene by sampling famous disco anthems and bass lines of the past, if they’re not producing the new disco sound for the future.

Let DJ’s Bernie, Jason Martin, Ali B (Australia), Garry T and Johan take you over 40 years of music, skillfully blending the infectious rhythms and educating the clubbers of today where the original songs and lyrics came from and where it is still evolving now, mixing the classic hit disco music with the sexy disco house beats of today and creating a new cocktail of what we call, Discolicious.

Before Hip Hop and House, there was Disco! Every Thursday nights, exclusively at Heritage Mansion.
