Colours of Hope: World Lupus Day 2009

In conjunction with its World Lupus 2009 theme, “The Child with Lupus”, Persatuan SLE Malaysia (PSLEM) will be holding a “Colours of Hope” art event on Saturday, 9 May 2009, at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya with the support of children’s art centre Get Crafty.

Children and young people between the ages of three and 15 are invited to register for the event with PSLEM or at Get Crafty on 2nd Floor Highstreet, 1 Utama Shopping Centre (next to MPH), with a donation of RM25 towards PSLEM’s SLE Fund. Official receipts will be given.

PSLEM will also be holding a sale at 1 Utama’s Community Corner from 9-17 May for a children’s novel ‘Pelangi’ (Rainbow) by Ida Munira Abu Bakar, a child’s diary which is based on a true story about Farha Ibrahim’s experience and what she went through as a child with Lupus at the age of 11. The books are sold at RM13 each, with proceeds going towards SLE Fund.
