Suflan and Friends is made up of Suflan Shamsuddin on Piano, Lewis Pragasam on Drums, David Yee on Bass, Syam on Guitar and Siti Mariam on Vocals. The musical influences range from Jazz greats like Oscar Peterson, Chic Corea, Bill Evans all the way to the Police, Billy Joel and Supertramp. Their performance will use the Jazz Idiom to express contemporary popular music in a fresh and refreshing style. Although traces of Fusion may surface occassionally, their performance will be dominated by the more traditional sounds and grooves of classical jazz and swing. Watch out for their interpretation of classics like 'Windmills of Your Mind' and 'Memories.
