C’est La Vie at Nouvo, Saturday 11th June

Nouvo is going totally French this Saturday at The Living Room. Nouvo is celebrating C’est La Vie in conjunction with the French Art Festival that is buzzing around town. Nouvo turns into the city of love – Paris. Feel the French aura embracing you from the moment you take the first step into The Living Room. With a Marilyn Monroe painting, a replica of the Arc Detriomph, Ponjees, the DJ console seen through a photo frame, colorful rose petals lining the stairway, a total Parisian café outlook and with 10 feet tall stiltwalkers outside, you will definitely be mesmerized. Nouvo is not only going French from its deco, but also to its sound. We have especially brought in the all famous French DJ, DJ Dee Nasty; The “Godfather Of European Hip Hop”. This talented King of Hip Hop from France is a popular and recognizable figurine in the French dance scene. Dee Nasty has collaborated and put his mixing skills to work alongside with many famous artist like the Beastie Boys, Les Rita Mitsuoko, Jamalski and also did special appearances in concerts for artists like Ice T, Public Enemy, Georges Clinton, Cash Money, Bambaata and Maceo Parker. Dee Nasty proved that he was a fundamental to the worldwide Hip Hop scene. From Paris to New York, his scratching styles that are a combination of different genre like Hip Hop base, funk, soul to house and Latin music are an inspiration to many growing DJs. More than 20 years of experience where he started off with the block parties of Paris, The Living Room at Nouvo welcomes this French maestro. Allow this French Hip Hop Godfather entertain you throughout the night of French Hip Hop sounds, funk and house. Join us for this once in a lifetime chance to experience and witness the works of his sounds right here in Malaysia. He performs live to you at 10pm onwards. The French embassy that will be present at this event and they will be holding a press conference for DJ Dee Nasty from 6pm till 7.30pm.
